Start with your monthly budget, or choose a specific calculation.
Preview only. Your saved journey and budget stay unchanged.
One fewer return journey each week, using your saved workplace days and one-way journey time. Monthly averages use 52 ÷ 12 weeks; holidays and leave are not deducted. Time is your saved estimate, not a live timetable.
Passes and recorded monthly parking or toll amounts stay fixed. Only known daily travel costs are reduced. A monthly budget override is reduced only if you confirm the whole amount varies with office days. Mixed or unknown costs stay uncalculated.
This is a travel-only comparison. Salary, taxes, insurance, meals, childcare and home-working costs are held unchanged. It does not confirm permission to telework or tax/social-security eligibility.
Separate 2026 tax and social-security rules
Tax: From 1 January 2026, when telework from France stays within 40% of annual activity and temporary missions stay within both limits, the full salary remains taxable in Switzerland. Up to 10 mission days may count within the 40%. If telework itself exceeds 40%, all France telework and all temporary missions are taxable in France from day one. If telework stays within 40% but mission days exceed either limit, the excess mission days can be taxable in France.
Social security: This is a separate test. For eligible employees covered by the agreement, 25%–49.9% telework may allow Swiss coverage to continue; the employer must request an A1. Below 25%, ordinary coordination rules apply; 50% or more is outside this agreement. Nationality, other work and employer conditions can change the result.
Your weekly pattern does not prove the annual tax percentage or social-security eligibility. Ask your employer to confirm the annual count, mission-day allocation and whether an A1 applies.
Use whole-day totals from the method your employer applies. For part-time work or a partial year, enter the adjusted mission cap your employer confirms; the standard full-time, full-year cap is 10 days. This is a planning preview, not a payroll result.
Geneva’s full-time, 240-day example: 91 telework days plus 8 mission days leaves 5 mission days inside the 96-day limit and 3 beyond it.
If telework alone exceeds 40%, the telework regime no longer applies to those days; Geneva says all temporary missions are treated with the France-taxable days. For part-time work or a period shorter than a full year, the 10-day cap is adjusted proportionally and rounded up. Confirm the adjusted cap and allocation with your employer.
See Geneva’s mission-day examples and rules ↗Daily spending is a separate record. It is not deducted again from your monthly plan.
Keep your salary-account details and employer payment instructions together. Check the currency and fees used when transferring money to France, and keep your payslips and annual salary certificate.
Your chosen health system and the documents still needed are in My paperwork.
